Julie O'Day

Julie specializes in Clinical Massage Therapy, regularly working with issues such as frozen shoulder, tendonitis, chronic neck and back pain, tension headaches, and pain related to sudden trauma, surgery and repetitive use injuries. In addition to focused, effective treatment, she provides tools and tips for homecare, and encourages an examination of client lifestyle and work habits to minimize the factors that cause pain. She brings a thorough understanding of anatomy and extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal pathologies to her work. Julie is passionate about every person’s potential to heal and committed to matching them step-by-step in their process of becoming pain-free.

Julie first discovered massage therapy at Lansing Community College, and later completed her training at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy.  She traveled around the country with Michael Young’s Repetitive Use Injury Workshop as a teaching assistant for two years. She has taught Sports Massage at LCC, as well as private workshops focusing on repetitive use injury treatment.

Julie began practicing massage therapy in 1997. In June of 2007, she opened Oasis Health and Wellness. She is also partners with Ruth Fisk in the Center for Yoga. She is grateful to be doing the work she loves surrounded by friends.
